Danielle Nelisse was admitted to the
Massachusetts Bar in 1997 and the Washington D.C. Bar in 1999. She
graduated from California Western School of Law, a law school that
specializes in International Law.
While in law school, Attorney Nelisse also attended the University
of Law in Florence, Italy, the University of Law in Vienna, Austria,
and the University of Law in Strasbourg, France. One of her law professors
was the Honorable Antonin Scalia, one of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
In 1997 she published a law journal article in the Tulsa Journal of Comparative and International Law ("Mexican Constitutional and Political Implications of the 1995 Natural Gas Regulations," 4 Tulsa J. Comp.& Int'l L. 223 (1997)) on the topic of privatization of natural resources in Mexico.
In 1997 Attorney Nelisse joined the law firm of Lane, Altman & Owens LLP, located in the financial district of Boston, Massachusetts and practiced criminal defense, civil litigation and immigration law. She moved to San Diego in 1999 to establish her own law firm in order to focus solely on immigration and naturalization law.

Prior to becoming an Immigration Attorney, Nelisse owned and operated a detective agency, which is still in operation. Her previous experience also includes three years as a labor negotiator, and three years as a sentencing expert for juvenile delinquents in the Juvenile Court system. She is also an accomplished oil painter and currently resides with her Dutch husband in San Diego, California.
